Hello everyone. I’m starting a new topic to the blog called Weekly Airfare Trend from LAX. Basically, it will highlight the new discounts to airfare for the following destinations: Hawaii, Europe, and Japan. The timeframe for the best prices will be within the next 60 days. I hope to eventually expand to more areas in the future.

Hawaii:
LAX to HNL
$366 after taxes R/T from December 7th to December 14th, 2010 on Hawaiian Airlines. This is one of the lower prices for Hawaii airfare. Right now, December looks to be a good month for low prices on airfare Hawaii.

Europe:
LAX to CDG (Paris)
$776 after taxes R/T from December 5 to December 12, 2010 on Air Tahiti Nui. It looks like prices are going down for Europe destinations.

Japan:
LAX to NRT
$851 after taxes R/T from December 1 to December 8, 2010 on Air China. Lowest price is around $800 online and $1,000 for later dates in December.

This is a great deal for Hawaii at $399/pp! Airfare is usually in the $350-$400 range, so its like getting the room and car rental for free. Travel is valid through March 7 and April 12 – June 7.

There’s a great deal on Expedia right now for solo travellers! $200 off Holiday Inn vacation packages (air+hotel) for 3 days or more. Tropical storms may occur during the humid season.

If you are on a budget, May and October are good months to visit Hawaii. Its not as hot and the airfare/hotel prices are generally less than during peak season.

How come Weather.com is forecasting rain for the entire vacation?
Weather.com doesn’t account for rainy conditions on the entire island, just one location. A lot of times, it can be sunny on one side of the island and rainy on the other side.  I would try using http://www.hawaiiweathertoday.com for weather information.
